Burger King and Wendy’s Unveil $5 Deals

EXPLORE MORE

Wendy's and Burger King have similar new discounts. Both fast-food businesses lately unveiled $5 value meals, presumably to compete for customers.

Although the two releases are identical, a few subtle changes may indicate which lunch deal is preferable.

Burger King released a $5 Your Way Value Meal in response to Wendy's $5 Biggie Bag. Wendy's launched their $5 offer in 2019. Burger King's version launched in 2021.

$5 Your Way Value Meal includes a Double Whopper Jr., 4-piece nuggets, small fries, and a small drink.

A Whopper Jr. costs $2.69, but the Double Whopper Jr. isn't available separately. Including the additional patty, a Whopper Jr. would cost $9.06 overall.

Wendy's $5 Biggie Bag offers the Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, Double Stack, or Crispy Chicken BLT.

A Double Stack ($3.09), 4-piece chicken nuggets ($2.19), small fries ($2.19), and small drink ($2.19) would cost $9.66 before tax.

Wendy's $5 Biggie Bag features multiple burger selections, which, combined with a slightly greater discount from the rewards programme, wins this duel.

Burger King wants to recover its distinction as the largest fast-food business from Wendy's.
