When you think of Dairy Queen, burgers aren't the first thing that comes to mind. But the chain is working on changing that.
The dessert hotspot is moving into burgers. Last week, it released five Stackburgers, its biggest product introduction in 20 years.
CEO Troy Bader called it one of the first genuine menu initiatives in Dairy Queen's history.
The Signature Stackburger menu has five new cheeseburgers cooked with 100% seasoned genuine beef and a toasted bun. Customers can pick a double or triple patty.
FlameThrower is a new cheeseburger. The cheeseburger is topped with tomato, lettuce, pepper jack cheese, and "fiery" FlameThrower sauce with jalapeo bacon.
It's not the only new DQ item with bacon. The Loaded A.1 has thick-cut Applewood smoked bacon, A.1. Thick & Hearty Steak Sauce, and creamy peppercorn sauce.
The following three cheeseburgers are more typical, but it doesn't make them less creative.
The Bacon Two Cheese Deluxe has strong American and white cheddar cheese, Applewood smoked bacon, tomato, onion, lettuce, pickles, ketchup, and mayo.
These new Signature Stackburgers are offered at all DQ Grill & Chill locations, or 72% of 4,300 American sites. Also, Canada.
