Classics are safe. A fantastic year-round jean. Pair with boots in winter, ballerina flats (yep, they're back!) in spring, and your favorite slides in summer.
Wide-leg jeans
Fit with stretch. To balance out a wide-leg trouser, wear a tight top and show off your waistline with a French or full tuck.
High-rise slim straight jeans
This jean is more trimmed than a straight-leg but looser than a thin. Women's traditional styles are these.
High-rise flare jeans
Pear shapes have a broader bottom than top. I recommend high-waisted flared jeans to disguise the belly and create an hourglass figure.
Boot-cut jeans
If you prefer a looser fit than slim jeans, slip them into knee-high or over-the-knee boots. Straight-cut or boot-cut jeans stretch the shape without accentuating trouble areas.
Boyfriend jeans
Boyfriend jeans look professional with a jacket, blouse, heels, or a graphic T-shirt and sneakers. Versatile, comfy, and age-appropriate, this silhouette.
Skinny jeans
Choose pants that match the boots or are near in color. To maintain a vertical line from waist to toe, avoid significant contrast between jeans and ankle boots.
White jeans
After companies broadened their straight leg offering and explored hues of off-white, I was ready to hop in. Off-white or ecru pants in a mid-rise (8-10 inches) will hide your belly.
