Start with skin care before applying makeup. Start with a moisturizer or serum. This will moisturize and set makeup. Foundation looks cakey and thick on dry skin.
Use a primer
Primer follows moisturizer and SPF but before foundation. Apply primer to your entire face. Primer for redness, enlarged pores, or oiliness should only be used to those areas.
Set the foundation using liquid foundation
Choose foundation for your skin type and tone. Oily skin needs matte foundation with shine control. Dewy foundation is best for dry skin.
Wherever You Need to Hide
Concealer is great for brightening and concealing dark spots. Choose something two shades lighter than your foundation or skin tone.
Apply some setting powder
Powder your makeup base. Powder is best used sparingly. Powder your makeup lightly. Apply in oily areas to break down makeup.
Bronzer Contouring
Bronzer instantly brightens and glows. I apply bronzer to the face's high points with a fluffy brush. The nose, forehead, and cheekbones.
'Wash' It Up
Blush changes everything. Blend blush from your cheekbones to your ears. Depending on your skin tone, choose rose, pink, peach, or fuschia.
Make Your Brows
Fill your eyebrows with brow liner, pencil, or gel. Use a two- or three-tone lighter product unless you have blonde hair.
Use Eyeliner to Define Your Eyes
Before mascara, apply eyeliner. Use waterproof eyeliner to define your waterline. Choose gel, liquid, or pencil eyeliner.
Apply Mascara
Mascara thickens and lengthens lashes. For lightweight lashes, apply an air-whipped mixture. To keep your curl, use an eyelash curler before mascara.
