The Glazed Eyeshadow Makeup Trend

Glazed may conjure up images of doughnuts, but it has its own realm in the world of beauty. It all started with Hailey Bieber's pastel pink iridescent nails.

Since the glazed finish has been used in almost every popular nail aesthetic, including ombre, aura, and French manicures, it was time for the trend to take off. Glazed eyeshadow is all the rage this summer.

Unlike shimmering or metallic eyeshadow, which sparkles with glitter, chrome-inspired makeup has a wet-looking gloss. It offers the same dewy finish as super-hydrating serums.

It Girls have given their approval. In London, Bieber wore it with rose lips and cheeks, and Hailee Steinfeld wore a lavender variant that matched her outfit.

Preparation is vital for flawless, long-lasting makeup. Using an eyeshadow primer to keep your makeup in place and make it "pop."

Apply a light shimmery eyeshadow all over the lid after you've created the proper canvas. Pat McGrath's foiled eyeshadows are my favorite. They glisten and flow."

Apply shimmering shadows across the lid using the Sculpt by Spectrum Collection tapered blending brush.

Despite its startling appearance, the glazed eyeshadow effect is intended to be wearable on any day. "Pastel tones such as lilac, peach, and mint green are ideal for summer."

Glazed eyeshadow has a "wet" appearance. Put down your favorite clear lip gloss. There are better (and less sticky) ways available.

Applying eyeshadow with a damp brush, using a sheer highlighter stick, or using a glossy top finish are three simple ways to get this look.
